After its successful launch, Helldivers 2 became the best-selling game for February 2024 in the United Kingdom, according to GSD data. The company covers all physical sales statistics and most digital sales. The shooter game from Sony has seen an increase in sales every week since its release on February 8th. Helldivers 2 sales during the first three weeks were only 28% lower than Marvel's Spider-Man 2 sales during the same timeframe. Spider-Man 2 managed to break records in this regard.
57% of the game's sales are linked to the PlayStation 5 release, with the remainder allocated to the PC release. Additionally, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League ranked fourth in its first month of release. Unfortunately, this game failed to meet its publisher Warner Brothers' expectations. Its sales in the first four weeks of release were 20% lower than Gotham Knights for 2022 and Guardians of the Galaxy for 2021.
Ubisoft's Skull and Bones game was released on February 13th and, based on sales statistics from its first two weeks of release, managed to rank eighth in this sales chart. This is 75% lower than Sea of Thieves, another pirate-themed game. Regarding consoles, the PlayStation 5 easily topped the chart, followed by the Nintendo Switch, with the Xbox Series X. The Xbox Series S was the best-selling console this month.
