Nintendo's battle against unofficial emulators continues

Nintendo has obtained a court order to shut down another emulation program for its consoles.
According to the latest news in the gaming world, Nintendo has settled a lawsuit earlier this week, resulting in the closure of another well-known Nintendo emulation device. This emulator, previously available to Android users under the name Pizza Emulators, allowed players to experience Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Color games on their mobile phones. This app was removed from the Google Play Store on Friday.
David Bra, the developer of this emulator, announced on his Discord account that he deactivated Pizza Emulators to prioritize his family. Previously, Nintendo settled another lawsuit, resulting in the developers of the popular Nintendo Switch emulator called Yuzu paying $2.4 million and ceasing their operations. This disabling of the emulator led to the shutdown of Citra, a Nintendo 3DS game emulator, which sparked protests from many users.

These protesters argued that the performance of the Yuzu emulation device was indefensible ethically and commercially because it allowed users to experience games still sold in the Nintendo store. However, Citra emulation device has a different status; it allows users to experience games that Nintendo no longer sells and has removed from the company's store archive.
In March 2023, Nintendo closed the 3DS eShop, meaning all digital games for this console, which were exclusive to the Nintendo store, are no longer available to players and cannot be purchased. Therefore, emulators were one of the solutions for fans to experience 3DS games.
