The new Ghost Recon game is inspired by Call of Duty

A new report suggests that the upcoming Ghost Recon game will feature a first-person shooter experience inspired by the Modern Warfare series.
While Ubisoft has been focusing heavily on upcoming Assassin's Creed releases, they also have ambitious plans for their other franchises, including Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, with the last installment released in 2019.
The report claims that development on the next Ghost Recon installment has begun, set in the fictional world of Naiman. It also suggests that the game will draw inspiration from Infinity Ward's Call of Duty Modern Warfare series and will focus on a first-person shooter gameplay style. Insider Gaming's report indicates a potential release window between 2025 or 2026 for the new Ghost Recon game.

This indicates that Ubisoft is taking between 6 to 7 years to develop this game and aims to make it the most ambitious installment in the series. Additionally, it seems the developer is trying to return to its roots by reintroducing the first-person shooter experience to the series. Given that recent entries in the series, which featured third-person perspective, haven't been very popular among players, this return could be a welcome change for fans.
As expected from the Ghost Recon series, the upcoming game will revolve around the Ghosts and their secret missions. Discoveries also suggest that the game will see significant improvements in graphics and visual quality, representing a substantial leap compared to previous installments. This indicates that developers are putting in their best efforts for the success of the upcoming game, potentially posing a new competition to the Call of Duty series in the future.
