The Star Wars Battlefront Classic series is facing launch timing issues
Aspyr team responded to timing issues through the Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection.
The Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection was released on Thursday, and since then, buyers have criticized the game's shipping issues. Currently, players of this collection are voicing their protests on Reddit and Twitter, with an average positive satisfaction rate among Steam players at 19%.
At launch, the Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection offered three dedicated servers for PC only for some modes, according to players. As a result, out of 20,000 players at release time, only 192 people were able to access some modes. While the development team added more servers shortly after release, bikers still complain about various other issues, including bugs, delays, game freezes, and things like weapons not dealing damage.
Now, Aspyr studio has issued a statement on the official group support page, acknowledging launch timing issues and promising players that they will continue efforts to fix the problems. The studio's statement reads: "We want to thank the Star Wars fan community for their support and fantastic feedback during the launch of the Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection."
At launch, we had significant issues in the network infrastructure sector, resulting in extremely high ping levels, matchmaking errors, and failure to access servers. "We have been working to address these issues and improve server stability since launch, and we will continue to work until we achieve stability in the network infrastructure and prevent further interruptions."
The Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection includes a full experience of the original Star Wars Battlefront game from 2004 and its 2005 sequel. Both games include separate single-player campaigns and multiplayer competitions, and when the servers reach the required quality level, massive online battles with up to 64 players simultaneously will be available.
