The Steam Deck now allows users to experience more than 14,000 games from the Steam Store.
As of the latest gaming news, the Velo gaming laptop is now capable of running many Steam games. According to Gaming on Linux, SteamDB shows that the Steam Deck now has over 14,000 games categorized as playable and verified.
At the time of writing this article, there were 4,604 games on Steam marked as verified for Steam Deck testing, while 9,406 games were classified as playable. The "verified" games are fully optimized for Valve's gaming-focused laptops and run smoothly. Although playable games can run on the Steam Deck, players may encounter some technical issues.
On the other hand, 3,920 games on Steam are classified as unsupported for Steam Deck. Interestingly, games bearing this label are not necessarily unplayable on the device, and their execution has only been verified on the Steam Deck by Valve. Due to the growing market for gaming-focused laptops, companies and studios typically aim to release their games with Steam Deck support.
